Bife a café – Beef with chips

A delicious mustard slathered rump, fillet or sirloin steak served with chips.

Ingredients (5)

1 x 250 g steak — rump, fillet or sirloin
1 Tbs potato flour
3 Tbs milk
1 Tbs Dijon mustard
lemon juice

Method:

Heat the butter and sear the steak quickly on both sides, season with salt and pepper.

Reduce the heat, mix the potato flour and the milk and add to the  meat with the rest of the butter, stir thoroughly and continue to simmer to taste – a few minutes on each side.

A few seconds before you want to remove the steak, add the mustard and the lemon juice to the sauce, stir to mix and remove from the heat.

Serve with home-made chips.
