Enjoyed a feast at iCi.
The ham croquettes were heavenly, I would return for them, the charcuterie was not far behind, despite the waiter's inability to describe each morsel delicately positioned on the board.
The mains were extremely tasty though I was expecting the 'eye' of fat in the rib eye?
The lamb rump was very tender and flavorful.
My only issue is that while the wine menu covers regions from around the world it does not cater for entry level wines and lists only two wines under R100. Wine that I regularly order were more expensive than I have ever seen on a list and while the intro to the menu encourages you to not bring your own, the pricing structure pushes you to do the exact opposite.
I have no qualms paying a premium for exquisitely prepared food, however, wine is simply purchased and poured, so in that regard I could stand to see a few more affordable listings.
Friendly, attentive service and, beyond the wine issue, an all round great dining experience.
