I had a business dinner at Blues last night and had a great time. The warm and friendly restaurant was the perfect place to impress my clients. The salmon main was marvelous, and the seafood platter my clients shared was beyond amazing.

Very unfortunate that there are a couple of Blues Restaurants! We have a stunning one down here in Margate, run by the greatest couple, Les & Elmari... so if you are in this part of the world - give them a go!

What is all the hype about? Service was deplorable, table settings incomplete at most tables, the salad was burnt...yes, burnt! The main was mediocre at best, smothered in a sauce that masked any taste at all and my partner had to return hers. Management was knowhesre to be found and despite the best efforts of our sever,no response from them

25 Jan, we entertained newly posted diplomats and while the service was acceptable (except for the incident when the food was served by another waiter who had no clue as to who got what), the menu was a disappintment as we had read and heard about this restuarant for so long.Beautiful surroundings do not make up for uninspired food- and as lengthy wait at that for delivery too.
Sorry Blues, we expected better and certainly better at the exhorbitant prices charged. Maybe Tourists love it but I think the chef needs to get back to basics and do a new menu with superb food.
Overpriced, mediocre food.

This is what I call a "gem". I invited a few close friends for dinner and decided we will celebrate this year my husband's 40th at a nice venue and Blues was recommended by most of my girl friends. All of us have been blown away by the professionalism from the first welcome by two lovely hostesses, Shona that served us and most importantly the immaculate presentation of the food. Thank you Blues for the unexpected birthday plate wishing my husband a fantastic 40th birthday! You have made this day so special it will be remembered and believe me we will spread the word! Keep on cooking blues, you guys deserve a medal!!!

We went to Blues for Xmas dinner and let me tell you we had, if not the most memorable, Xmas ever! A beautiful Xmas tree, amazing decorations, beautiful staff, amazing management and the menu was to die for. From the entree, to the most mouthwatering gammon, right down to the smallest detail on the Xmas pudding. Everything was worth it and my family and I would like to take this opportunity to thank Blues management, staff for making this Xmas so special!

Waiter forgot to grind me black pepper or never bothered to ask. What is it with restaurants and black pepper. Can they not leave it on the table? I know it is black but it surely is not as expensive as oil.

Blues thank you so much for an unforgettable Xmas luncheon yesterday. The salmon was to die for and the service was excellent, thank you Andrew. A very special thank you to the management team that asked the table next to us to leave that was causing so much embarrassment for all the surrounding tables and almost spoiling a fantastic xmas lunch for all of us by being obnoxious, loud and wait for it.... bringing their own display of hard liquors smuggled in obviously a handbag and drinking it out of wine glass! We were appalled but the management dealt with this situation in such a spectacular way that we all felt like standing up and giving a round of applause! Thank you Blues for making our Xmas lunch so special and the entire company agreed this will be a tradition every year!

Fantastic! Considering all the restuarants on the strip, this is by far the most affordable restaurant and value for money! Amazing staff dressed so funky that made the entire dining experience a day to remember! Keep on cooking for another 20 years Blues!

The My family and I went to Blues last night for dinner. Having 2 children it is always nice to know there is still a restaurant we can go to as a family. There are so many fine dining restaurants that don't allow children and for no good reason. Why should you be banned from restaurant just for having children? My family and I had a great time, and we can recommend Blues to any person that would like to experience fine dining with there children!

My best friend and I made a booking at Blues and we were blown away with the quality of the food. It seemed there was a function happening that night but we still received our food promptly and there was no waiting period irrespective of the function! The views are amazing and the staff just as amazing. Well done Blues, 20 years and still cooking, just like their t-shirts say!

My boyfriend and I recently moved from Johannesburg to Cape Town and on our first evening in the mother city we decided we had to experience camps bay hospitality but not sure which restaurant on the strip. On our way we were driving behind a very funky Rikki advertising in such amazing style Blues Restaurant. We decided to experience Blues and we are still speechless! We arrived and were greeted by a beautiful hostess who asked if we want to be seated at the bar or in their very stylish lounge area as they were very busy. She assured us, after a very good looking bar man attended to our cocktails that our table will be ready in 15 min. The barman, made a Cosmopolitan and margarita that I believe is impossible to be perfected. As we looked around we noticed that every all the waiters are dressed in the most funky gear I have ever seen, and it is clear that the criteria for working at Blues is style, perfection and beauty, beauty and beauty! We were just speechless that the hostess kept us informed of the status of our table. We waited about 15 min and we were taken to our table and our drinks were carried on a tray by the hostess seating us! This was a fabulous gesture! Our table was perfect and our waiter immediately arrived with the freshest bread I have ever tasted! A fantastic menu and wine list and we were once again astonished by the waiter's knowledge of wine and food! My partner had the salmon tartare served on a summer rice salad and avo and I had the Scallops. To all you scallop lovers out there try this one, it is a winner!!! It is wrapped in prosciutto with Jerusalem artichokes, toasted almonds and leeks...mouthwatering!!! Our main course was a platter for 2 and you have to see this to believe it. Pity I can not attached a photo hereto because more fresh you are going to struggle to find! Such value for money I have not seen in Campos Bay ever! After desserts were offered we could not help smiling when 2 famous celebrities sat at the table next to us raving about the food and the 20th birthday bash that they attended and from what our waiter has told us, it made headlines everywhere!! Well done Blues, such service, style, elegance and fantastic food and value for money makes you a winner in every category! I was not surprised when we were told on our departure (the new appointed exec chef worked with Gordon Ramsey) and then the quality and quantity of the food made all sense and if this is not enough reason for all your food lovers to go and experience the Blues hospitality then I sincerely do not know!

WOW, what an amazing restaurant! Went to Blues for lunch and from the minute I walked in it was like being in Hollywood. There were celebrities everywhere, and no wonder with food and service that good. The staff were oblivious to it all the stars and models in the restaurant, they must be use to it. Why get the Heat magazine then I can simply go to Blues for lunch?

I recently went to the Blues for my anniversary dinner. My wife and I shared the seafood platter for 2.We were flabbergasted by the size and the quality of the food. Their new chef made our dinner even more special by presenting our dessert on a special plate that was decorated with chocolate. The new summer menu looks great and we will be back soon!

I have never written a review for a restaurant before, but credit where credit?s due. I went to Camps Bay on the weekend and going to Blues made my day. I grabbed the last table on the balcony. (Had to fight a 5-pound weakling of a man for it, but it was worth it!!!) The food was amazing! The service was incredible! The only thing better than the view of the peninsula was the few of the hot waiters. 10 out of 10, and thank you Blues for an amazing time.
