I had the most shocking experience at Auberge Michel. I had taken my most important client out for dinner. During the dinner the owner had come to the table to introduce himself to us. When we were about to leave the owner told my client that he did not like the way my client had treated him earlier. He then proceeded to tell my client that he should never come back to the restaurant. He is not welcome there. I was so shocked that I could not even find words to respond. The only thing my client could be accused of was not getting up and embracing him warmly when he introduced himself to us as some of the people at the other tables did. My client was polite, but did not encourage chatting. Since when does that give the owner of a restaurant the right to tell a customer that he is no longer welcome in the restaurant?
