Meatballs in tomato sauce

Preparation time: 35

Cooking time: 75

Ingredients
500 ml tomato sauce
400 g beef mince
400 g pork mince
3 slices white bread
2 eggs
2 sprigs oregano, finely chopped
250 ml grated parmesan
handful of chopped parsley
salt and freshly ground black pepper

Method:
Mix the two meats well. Place the bread in a bowl and cover with water. Allow the bread to soak for about 10 minutes. Remove excess water. Mix the bread with the mince. Add the rest of the ingredientsa and mix well. Season with salt and freshly ground pepper. Form large meatballs and pack tightly in an ovendish. Bake in the oven for 1 hour at 180°C. Pour the tomato sauce over and return to the oven for a further 15 minutes. Serve with your favourite pasta, grated Parmesan or pecorino and chopped parsley.
