Berry granita

Ingredients
1 kg berries of your choice
250 g sugar
a few fresh berries to decorate

Method:
Place berries and sugar in a saucepan. Heat until sugar has dissolved. Place mixture in ice-cube trays and freeze until firm. Prepare 4 serving glasses by tying a collar of greaseproof paper around the top. Secure with string or tape. Remove ice-cube trays from freezer and place ice cubes in a food processor. Blend for 30 seconds. Divide mixture between glasses, place them on a baking sheet and place in the freezer until granita is firm and glasses chilled. Remove from freezer and carefully remove collars. Decorate with fresh berries and serve with panettone. Use long spoons to eat. Serves 4.
