Ten-minute doughnuts
Ingredients
110 g
self-raising flour
20 g
castor sugar
pinch salt
1
egg, beaten
125 ml
milk
oil for frying
extra castor sugar
Method:
Sift the dry ingredients together and add the egg and milk. Blend well to form a smooth batter. Heat the oil in a saucepan and drop spoonfuls of the batter into the hot oil. Remove from the oil with a slotted spoon when golden brown and cooked inside. Roll in the castor sugar while still hot. Drain on kitchen towelling.
Makes about 10 doughnuts.
