Mini gelato affogato
Ingredients
500 ml
good-quality vanilla ice cream
100 ml
amaretto or Frangelico liqueur
600 ml
strong, black espresso
Method:
Scoop ice cream into cups or tumblers and freeze until ready to serve.
Pour a little liqueur over each cup of ice cream, top up the cups with hot espresso and serve immediately.
Pass around little chunks of panforte, an Italian nut cake available at delis all year round or upmarket retail outlets during Christmas time.
