- flour and buttermilk
500ml cake flour
100g butter
20ml baking powder
25ml sugar
5ml salt
175ml yoghurt/buttermilk/milk
1 egg
Mix the cake flour, sugar, baking powder and salt together. Rub the butter into the flour mix. Mix the egg and buttermilk. Mix with flour till soft dough. Roll out and cut circles. Bake at 180C for 12 minutes or till golden brown. Makes about 10 medium scones.
