Question:
Pasteurization at home-PLEASE HELP!
I am so clueless about the whole pasteurising thing... Google is no help and i have no idea where to go and ask, so I am hoping I found the right lady for the job. I want to press my own juice and store it at home for those busy times when I just can't stand and squeeze but have to run around. I have read that the UHT kills all nutrition so I want to avoid this technique. What equipment can I use at home to pasteurize the juice safely and still keep the nutrients in? How would I do this? Will I have to sterilize the bottles that I want to store it in and how would I do that? I really hope you can help me. Thanks
- Lucy

Lannice Snyman says:
So sorry, Lucy, but this is way past me. Why don't you just freeze the excess juice? Even in an ice-cube tray, then you can toss them all in a plastic bag and use as or when you need it.
