Question:
Cake lopsided
When I bake a carrot cake using the black oven tray, the one half of the cake is always lower than the other half ? not even. Could it be that I am over mixing the batter.

Answer:
Lannice Snyman says:
If the surface of a cake is not even it's because of uneven heat penetration. If you're using two cake tins, make sure they don't touch each other or the side of the oven. Or your oven may be faulty. Try turning the tins halfway through the baking time to even things out.
