Welcome to October Vinatics

Exciting wines from Laborie for this month's Vinatics

by: Cathy Marston | 03 Oct 2011

If ever a winery had THE perfect range for Vinatics – it’s definitely Laborie Wines! Starting with bubbly and working your way through a series of food-friendly varietals to end up with a sweet Pinotage, perfect for dessert – choosing this month’s food matches has been an easy pleasure for Chef Caro. Find out more about Laborie Wines by clicking here.

The Food
Caro took one look at this great selection of wines and immediately rattled off a series of dishes which she is convinced will prove perfect matches. If you want to see why she thinks so, then click here.

Decadent Oysters
Salmon and Cucumber Mousse
Citrus Chicken Curry
Venison and Prune Pie
Duck and Bacon Salad with Orange
Chocolate Truffle Tart

The Dinner
After the well-behaved elegance of last month’s dinner, I have a strong feeling that we may be going large this month. Lots of wines, wonderful guests and delightful food, plus Cathy and Caro are planning a synchronised sabraging contest which’ll make your hair cringe – it’s all going to go down at Vinatics! If you want to see how last month’s went, then click here.

And – as ever – there’s a case waiting for you!
But because Laborie Wines are the soul of generosity, this month it’s a 12-BOTTLE case, not a 6 bottle one! Surely that’s worth buying a bottle or two, trying a couple of dishes, taking pics, sending us your thoughts??? Best one will win the wine.

Happy October drinking!
