The Kasselshoop white Cheddar with nettles is a tangy delight at any dinner table, especially when paired with a light Pirovano Pinot Grigio, all the way from Italy!

The wine:

Italian Pirovano Pinot Grigio offers you a crisp, white wine with hints of apple, peach and vanilla that adds something new to any special occasion.

Enjoy the succulent flavours of the Vitis Vinifera grape, a close cousin to the Pinot Noir, which grows in cone clusters, mostly in the Italian countryside.

The cheese:
The Kasselshoop white Cheddar infused with nettles, exclusive to Checkers, is hand-crafted on the Kasselman family farm as it has been for generations.

Nettle, a weed that is used for its medicinal qualities and also known to have an anti-inflammatory effect, is a rich source of antioxidants.

This white Cheddar is complemented by a hint of spinach and garlic.
The pairing:

The combination of the Italian Pinot Grigio and flavourful Kasselshoop nettle-infused Cheddar offers you the best of both savoury and fruity tastes – a delicious grouping by almost anyone’s standards.

Allow the crisp, white wine to serve as the opening act for the strong flavour of the Kasselshoop Cheddar, allowing you to enjoy a variety of flavours, all in one mouthful.
