Consistently brilliant - both the service and the food. Well worth the money. Which is why I'll keep going back again and again. Service excellence is so rare in Cape Town. This is a joy.

For those who haven't yet had their fillet steak, or mushroom risotto, haven't lived! I was extatic to find that it was still as good a I remebered it to be. I ended my evening with the cheesecake, and I'm making it my new favourite! I love this place!

Was in for dinner last night at Societi & what a stunning restaurant. Great atmosphere (could have sat there all night), great service and of course spectacular food! Thanks to all for making every visit special!

My friend and I visited Societi last night as part of the Labia movie and meal special. I'll definitely be giving that a miss from now on... R15 for one topping on a pizza? And considering the pizzas tasted as if they had all been pre-made and the toppings just chucked on top (my toppings all just fell right off as I lifted up each slice), it was not what I expected of a restaurant with an exceptionally good reputation. Pity though, because it's a great way to get to see a movie at the Labia for practically nothing.

I'm not a fan of mall eating, but I used to make an effort to visit Societi when they will still based at the Waterfront for the sumptuous burgers or eggs benedict on a weekend. Now that they've moved, I'm an even bigger fan! The setting couldn't be more perfect. Rustic, quaint and inviting, my boyfriend and I have relegated Societi as one of our top "date night" foodie spots. I have yet to have a less than awe-inspiring meal and their tongue starter certainly has mine wagging - too delicous for words! I had the pleasure of hosting a birthday canape and bubbly evening there a few months back and to date its been one of my most memorable celebrations. The staff go out of their way to make you feel welcome and the number of recommendations I've made, have all come back positive. Well done Societi, you'll be seeing me soon again xoxo

I use to work at societi, so I'm always intrested on what is going on. Just a comment on people that is not prepared to pay R90 for a pasta, you should not be eating out. I work in a hotel in the UK who is happy to charge 12 Pounds for a burger, about R150. On the bases that it is a really good burger and people pay the price. Taking in consideration that someone made it an cooked it for you. You are paying for someone else to cook for you. So next time you eat out, think about that. Societi has been around for more than a few years, that must count for something, they must be doing something right. That will be one of my stops on my next visit to South Africa. Karina.

On Darren's comment about the service staff at Societi all helping one another with their tables... Don't you just hate when you ask for something silly like extra lemon or your bill, and the person you asked is not your "allocated waiter", the reply is normally: "Let me just find your waiter". I think it is great that their style of service is different from the rest, empowering everyone to take ownership and look after all the guests as a whole... You're there to dine, not make personal acquaintance with THE ONE and ONLY waiter that's allowed to serve your table! And their food is great by the way! Despite that fact that we all get it wrong on occasions, Societi is one of the few places that make a concerting effort to fix it!

After reading Darren's comment I must also say that we were very disappointed when we went to the restaurant. I thought the prices were extremely high and the food pretty average.

Sinn's Restaurant "There is something so simply indulgent about Risotto. Yes, health nuts would slate it for it's cheesy, creamy ladenness, but personally, that's all the more reason to revere it (and then pop off to the gym the next day). The Rocket Risotto and Silver Fish I had last night at Sinns, was incredible! The texture of the firm, crisp-skinned fish, paired with the dreamy sanctity of the Risotto, punctuated with beetroot chips and served out in the airy sophistication of Wembly Square- Bellissimo! ..."
