After my experience at Cubana on Saturday i called the manager (Lara)to complain and i must say she dealt with the matter with urgency and i'm now happy that this issue is being raised with the person in question and i was promised they would get back to me.Cubana is a great place , nice atmosphere . Our country is preparing to host a major event and we can't have a moron with no way of dealing with clients like that working there. Thanks Cubana management for addressing the problem , i'll be back ! that's not the last you see of me. Thanks

I had a very bad experience at Cubana greenpoint which left a bag taste in the mouth. I had a booking for a table of 10 two weeks in advance. At some stage in the evening we were approached by a man with so much atitude, he was asking us permission if he could have one of the tables since we get up dance and then go back to the table . I said no because most of us were still eating, he left and later then came took the food off the one table put it on the other and just pulled the table away. i was asked whether i had paid for the table and if i hassle him he would put me out.Firstly a deposit wasn't required for the booking of the table which i gladly would have paid and we were still eating. How could 8 people eat around a table for just 4????????? I've been there many times and asked for a table when i haven't booked all i'm told is that they all booked but they never just go and take somebody else's table -i don't get that kind of special service.The i asked to speak to the manager i was told each time that he is some where around.

Crap food, bad staff, violent staff, bad lighting, overpriced food and drinks. Smoking indoors. (violation). They encourage smoking in the entire venue, with dirty ash trays and with hubbly bubbly use. We had dinner there to find the quality of the food lacking for the price we paid (we got riped of). We were charged for food and drinks we did not order. We even found glass in our food! We took the dispute to the manager who violently assaulted one of my guest, and then his low life thugs (staff) joined in. What an awful place! I will never go there again!

LOVE this place!!!! The atmosphere is amazing, epecially the early hours of the morning :) and the service gets two thumbs up from me.

Cubana used to be my favourite place to meet up for drinks. I have been frequenting the place since they opened. Lately I find that their cocktails are watered down and the baskets in relation to the price contains very else except chips. Cubana, surely you can do better?

It's true, the bouncers are uncivilised. When I go there with my partner we are offered a table immediately because he gives them money. When I go there with my friends, we are told we have to pay for parking and their tables are reserved for other bouncers & their friends. The food is not up to standard as it used to. I used to go there more than three times a week, now I only go there when I run out of options. Janie fix your place before things get out of hand. I miss the vibe but your bouncers are chasing us out.

This is a follow-up on the complaint I logged for this restaurant. We got a call from their 'service manager' Monica. We told her our story and her response is that there is nothing they can do with the bouncers attitude as they are outsourced. How ridiculous, as they are employed by Cubana then they should be acting within the image of the company. The floor manager told us that the man I bumped into has a 'problem' with black people. I asked him why did he send me out without asking what had aoccured. He told us that the white guys was a regular customer. I am assuming that the reason I was man-handled out was because I was new (which I wasnt) and black. Monica informed us that she has escalated our complaint to the restaurant owner on the 7th of September 2009. We are forever waiting for a response or some feedback till this date. During this event occurance; we incurred financial damages on my friend's spectacles and the bill we were asked to pay

I love Cubana Greenpoint!!I go there all the time. I love the vibe, ambience,the staff is great!! from the bouncers,barmen,waiters and the wonderful manager Stanley.Cubana Greenpoint is always a first for me!

I have visited Cubana twice in 3 years of living in Cape Town & both times were very disappointing! The service is terribly slow & inhospitable, the bouncers very rude & unprofessional & the food served cold, if the right order at all. A third incident last weekend saw my close colleague singled out & embarrassed in front of a packed floor of customers & staff. She had recently undergone her first chemo treatment & it was her first night out in a month. The bouncers stopped her at the door & ordered her to remove her hood, when she explained the reasoning behind it, they told her that those were the rules & if she wanted to be an exception to them, she would have to traipse across the restaurant (hoodless) to ask management for 'permission'! The way the bouncers tactlessly handled the situation is absolutely appalling & I will be sure to never visit this establishment again.
