Service was terrible and slow.Advertised special was not available.Did not order starters and waited almost an hour for our main course to arrive.When i ask the manageress what the hold up was she said she would check.She abruptly told me that the order wasnt put in an hour ago it was roughly half an hour ago.I replied that this was impossible as i had checked the time when our waitress took our order.When our food arrived it was tasty and done to the correct temperature.However because of the poor service,lack of knowledge of the waiting staff and bad attitude of the manageress i will definatly not be returning to this restuarant

We decided to try a 2nd cattle baron cos our 1st experience was great. What a DISAPPOINTMENT. The staff were slow, service was almost non-existent even though there were about 4 tables with people. No-one was sure about the special offers available, the creme brullee made my husband terribly sick. Waiting 30+ mins for a burger made the kids really irritable, and then another 30min wait for the icecream (possibly the cow still had to be milked for this!) was absolutely disgusting. I WON't be going be back.

Juicy steaks, great atmosphere and ambiance and all you need is great company.

Now days have not found a steakhouse that can firstly supply the perfect cut rump and then understands medium rare. My last visit on my anniversary to cattlebarron was very disappointing. I nwo days prefere to buy my own lazy aged rump at 'Fairfield butchery' get some good namibian charcoal white hot and braai my steak to perfection with a nice pinotage to complement the steak.The price needs to match the taste!
