Went there on Saturday 29 August for drinks. The restaurant section was quiet and not busy so we wanted to sit quietly and have a drink. The hostess said we couldn't sit there because we were not ordering food and she threatend to have the bouncer throw us out. Will never go back there again. This was a birthday celebration which she promptly proceeded to spoil. To top it off this was just before midnight and the restaurant was not busy, she could've just let us sit there and chill with our drink, so pathetic.

Great food, awful service in Plumstead. Waiting period for food extremely long and the place was virtually empty. Never again will I try another branch. Cant believe the casual non-chalant attitude of staff having personal conversations with each other while they make you wait forever for your food.

What a surprise! Totally not what I was expecting! My fiance and I drove past for months, thinking this place was an old dingy pub, but we decided to venture in one day seeing that it is in our neighborhood. We walked into what looks like the inside of a boat and were warmly welcomed by friendly staff. We looked around us, everyone was smiling, glasses were clinking and huge plates of mouth watering food just kept on coming out the kitchen! The atmosphere was amazing! The food was absolutely divine, so good that you feel a bit tipsy and you are beaming from ear to ear. Tender grilled chicken smothered with spinach sauce, ribs falling off the bone, crunchy onion rings, and drafts as tall as the sky?so our experience taught us not to judge a book by its cover, go in, you?ll be pleasantly surprised!

Fatehers day meal....stunning,stunning,stunning! My family and i would like to thank pirates for making our dad`s day a extra special one.The food was great,service,one of the best i have recieved in a very long time.We will definately be back soon!ps.there should be a five star rating for pirates,three stars comes nowhere close....

Fathers day at Pirates. A reasonably priced 3 course meal to knock any dads socks off... and boy did they deliver. Food was awesome! Staff were friendly and attentive. I might just have to become a regular...

I would like to thank the hostess at Pirates Plumstead for accomodating my dad and I on short notice. The food and vibe were fantastic. The staff were friendly and the hostess added a personal touch not seen very often these days. Despite some unruly patrons and their horrible children (some parents should be SHOT) a good time was had by all. My dad is still raving about the food!!! Long live PIRATES...

Very poor service - disgusting the level of service. Father's Day we arrived @ 1pm - we ate at 3.30pm (2 1/2 hours later) - YES WE WERE STARVING - Mr Delivery would have been quicker & to top it all off the restaurant was empty - they were very non-chalant frm waitress to mng. Irene - No Apology frm either-very dissapointing / we took the complaint up with Steven -he said that they have been receiving many similar complaints lately - strange how the manager also offered PATHETIC Disgusting Service. what a pity because the food is reasonbly priced & previously from what I heard they used to have a good reputation but whats the point of going to Pirates in Plumstead because the food is good if you have to wait 2 1/2 hours for your meal to arrive so my advice to you is if you go there make sure you are not hungry - 1* due to the poor level of service.
