I went to dinner at The Kove recently for a family birthday and have to say that i thought the food, atmosphere and service was all excellent. Our waiter was efficient, polite and helpful when asked any questions redarding the menu. The atmosphere was fabulous, with the live Jazz band playing the perfect background music at the right volume. The resturant was fully booked, and although it felt like they had prehaps crammed in one or two more tables than the should have, the general buzz was pleasant and the waiters stratigically weaved inbetween their tables without disturbing the diners. Most importantly the food an absolute treat. Everyone at the table raved about the starters and mains, with ample veg served to the table and the original and tasty flavoured mash-buffet was a great touch. All in all we had a fantastic dinig experience and I will definately be back.

Very disappointed in the meal, to pay R140 for just a soul and then the side salad is old rotten white lettuce, 3 tiny cherry tomatoes and grated carrot that was 4 strands of carrot …I expected more ….on a good note the service was very good….i think Kove could take a leaf out of Pepenero’s book.

As the manager of the Kove, there has been a huge gap in communication which I offer my sincerest apologise for this but our system is up and running and has been up and running since the launch of the card. To all the customers with loyalty cards swipe away and those of you interested you will not be dissappointed.

Kove/ Paranga/ Bungalow Loyalty Card is a farce! While dining at the Kove in Camps Bay (sister restaurant of Paranga, Bungalow and Pepenero) last week , the maitre de/ manager informed us of the restaurant group's new loyalty card - earn 10% which can be redeemed (like cash) off your next bill. After spending a few thousand rands, our waiter loaded a few hundred rands onto my card. Imagine my disappointment when I pulled out my card on my next visit to put money towards the bill only to be told that 'Oh, we're publicising the card but the redeemable system isn't yet up and running.' When I explained that I had suggested the restaurant based on the customer benefits, the manager blamed the delay on the implementation company and added "You know how long everything takes time in Cape Town..." Correct me if I'm wrong but doesn't a loyalty system that can't deliver on its promise consitute fraudulent misrepresentation and false advertising?

I dined at the Kove - and it is quite pricy. Having said that i still dream about the fillet i had there - the service was excellent, the wine list handcrafted, the food to die for and the atmosphere so romantic - definitely THE place in CT to take a girl/ woman if you want to impress her.

Wow, what a great experience! The food was unbelievably divine and the service was awesome. The restaurant is stunning, the dimmed lights, candles and soft music made it an experience I will never forget. Best goats cheese starter I've ever tasted!! Will definitely return!

We also heard about the specials at the Kove and so so decided to give it a try. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and has an awesome winelist. We tried out the set menu special which we thoroughly enjoyed. I think our waiter was JC. although slightly difficult to understand, he was there when we needed him and was professional all the way. We actually go to pepenero all the time which i understand is under the same ownership as the kove. We are happy!

Sinn's Restaurant "There is something so simply indulgent about Risotto. Yes, health nuts would slate it for it's cheesy, creamy ladenness, but personally, that's all the more reason to revere it (and then pop off to the gym the next day). The Rocket Risotto and Silver Fish I had last night at Sinns, was incredible! The texture of the firm, crisp-skinned fish, paired with the dreamy sanctity of the Risotto, punctuated with beetroot chips and served out in the airy sophistication of Wembly Square- Bellissimo! ..."

Always great food, but unfortunately your enjoyment is pretty much determined by which waiter you get...
