HQ Restaurant still remains my firm favourite restaurant to host my business lunches. Just got back to JHB and my colleagues are still talking about the fantastic lunch they had. The service was efficient and the steak (as always) was absolutely delicious. HQ is a great place to entertain guests as you know you will not be let down. The only question I have for them is - When are they opening one up in JHB.

Met up with a few mates after work at the HQ cocktail lounge for drinks and ended up staying for dinner. These are people that really know what they are doing, the salad was simple but superb and the Sirloin really made the night! The friendliness of the staff and the professionalism of their service added value to the experience. Will definetly be back soon.

This is one seriously good restaurant. What an interesting concept and the steak is superb - grilled as ordered. Simple delicious salad and perfect french fries . Mother grundies, pregnant or not should be refused entrance . Cocktails are very good.

I have to say that I was nervous going to this restaurant after reading the reviews, but it was excellent! Can't understand what the other reviews were going on about - must be another place. Best sirloin I've had and I love the decor. Concept is brave, and I think it works well, I'll be back there soon.

Ate here on Friday night. Was awful. The table we were given was above the club part. By 9pm we could not hear what the person next to us was saying. Not a great place for dinner conversation. The food was awful - you would think the steak would be excellent, but was perfectly average. Also, sauce served with raw egg is not the best for pregnant woman - but you don't have a choice if we don't want the vegetarian option of black mushrooms (served with same sauce). Chips were way too salty. The only good thing, according to the people who can drink alcohol, was the chilli mojita. Unfortunately I didn't even have that satisfaction.

I ate here for the first time recently with a few friends. The whole concept seems to be an excuse to make life easy for the kitchen. Service started well, but deteriorated severely once the restaurant started filling up. Considering that one has absolutely no choice as to what to eat, I expected the salad and steak to be fantastic. As it turned out, the salad was OK - saved by a good dressing. The steak was acceptably average. However there are quite a few places nearby that do a much better sirloin steak. The main attraction here seems to be the loud night-clubby bar. I can't see the restaurant lasting long in its current form.

HQ will be shortlived as they generally do at any conveyor belt restaurant. Typical great first impressions then the standards get sloppy and quality of food slides. My wife and I with another couple (They recommended this months earlier) went there for dinner. Friday was bustling and the tables were full. The service was great and so was the speed of the food order. However the steaks were nowhere near the soft tender 'blow your mind' as raved about 3 months earlier. After dinner the bar was your typical city nightclub bar, hectic busy queue for a drink. Then the crackhead barmen went on a spending spree with my friends credit card he left as a tab card and forgot about it . Its a great venue. Just needs better management and quality control in meat cuts.

Went to HQ last week, wish I hadn't, the steak was average, nothing special, sauce was congealed and the wine very expensive, the service was shocking. Will not go back.

What put me off from this place, the first time we went we were standing at the bar having drink when my wife felt something on her foot. Upon looking down she found a monster cockroach running up her pant leg!! We will never go back because of this and I advise no one else to either!

HQ restaurant has diners eating upstairs and party-goers downstairs. So those smoking on the dance floor, are doing it in the same room as those who are sitting eating. It is disgusting, if not illegal. We spent about R2000.00 on 9 mains and drinks. Once we paid the bill, we planned on drinks,in the bar.we were briefly split up,I went to greet a friend and my wife, stepped outside the main door for fresh air, the smoke from the dining area was getting to her. I saw her outside the door and said to the 'bouncer' that I would like to go out to her, before returning for an after dinner drink. He shook his head. I told him that we had just spend R2000 on dinner and would like to re-join our friends inside,he simply answered No. I am not in the habit of pleading with fools, accepted that this was the end of my brothers birthday celebration. My pregnant wife was standing in the street I was mortified at this treatment after spending a lot of money in this 'low quality' environment

Sinn's Restaurant "There is something so simply indulgent about Risotto. Yes, health nuts would slate it for it's cheesy, creamy ladenness, but personally, that's all the more reason to revere it (and then pop off to the gym the next day). The Rocket Risotto and Silver Fish I had last night at Sinns, was incredible! The texture of the firm, crisp-skinned fish, paired with the dreamy sanctity of the Risotto, punctuated with beetroot chips and served out in the airy sophistication of Wembly Square- Bellissimo! ..."
