lovely food et the meat co but didnt like the way the boss treats his staff,he swears in front of the customers i dont think thts good...pliz meat co do somthing about this.....

As the planner for our corporate company dinners, it is always with trepidation when i book a large group at a restaurant, but we had the most professional service at this restaurant. everything was handled extremely well. We were given a private room to ourselves and even had personized menus. Very refreshing experience.

was totally suprised to have a lovely sole with fresh vegetables at this restaurant, as they specialize in meat. Fantastic friendly service from the waitress. Well done,youll see us back again

We are difficult for ladies and at yesterdays lunch we asked for a lot of changes to the menu. Well done to management for being so understanding on what I could see was a very busy Sunday lunch. keep it up, we will definitely be back.

The manager on duty (unfortunately no name badge) on Saturday night (6th July) was RUDE and ARROGANT. We arrived at 18h00 and was told the restuarant was fully booked. He was blatantly RUDE and ARROGANT and did us a HUGE favour by seating us in a dingy corner.We left without ordering and went to ALLORA at Bedford Centre where we enjoyed a FIRST CLASS dining experience. I WILL NOT BE RETURNING TO THE MEAT CO.

Bad experience 1.7.2009 Sat & waited for 15 minutes before order was taken. A couple who arrived after us were served first. Beers ordered by my husband - 2 tasted like vinegar & the 3rd expired April, 2009. My son order Sirlion 0 Med; my husband Rump Med Rare. They put their sauces (different) on steaks given to them & my son had my husbands steak & visa versa. My husband asked for tomato sauce & we are still waiting. There was a chip out of my glass, but as the glasses are frosted and I only saw it after I had drunk half a glass. This was the worst experience I have had at your restuarant.

I agree with jennifer the steaks at meat co melrose are great and the same waiters have been their for ages which allows them to really be clued up. Love the idea of the knives as a marketing gimmick. Keep it up

If you want a consistent steak in Sandton there's no better place than this meat co. The service is always good and the most knowledgeable waiters in town.

It used to be that if I wanted a quick steak, I could get it at the Meat Co. I recently found myself there for the first time in a while. I ordered the chicken livers to start and didn't really feel like a steak so I ordered the beef schnitzel as a main. The chicken livers were shocking. They tasted like they had been cooked on their own the day before and then thrown into some sauce to warm them through. My main was not much better. While the schnitzel was edible the sauce I ordered on the side was bland. I ordered the blue cheese and vodka sauce, which I have been pleased with in the past. On this occasion I sent the sauce back, thinking they had given me the wrong one. The waiter however returned and advised that the tasteless yellow goop he had brought to the table earlier was in fact their blue cheese and vodka sauce. My chips were cold as were my wife's ribs. I have better meals at the Spur, and next time I want a steak, I'll go there before considering the Meat Co.
