Was looking for a place to treat the wife. Based on Sue's experience I immediately scratched Azure off my list of possible's. Reason being I have no intention of being mugged, which she clearly was. I'm sure my not going will have little impact on their trade but darn it makes me feel better for Sue.

We were there a while back with about 12 of us. We ordered a bottle of wine for R105 and the waiter came back to tell us that they did not have it in stock. They said that they could recommend a similar one. We ordered this and being a table of 12 plenty more bottles were consumed. When we received the bill we saw that we had been charged R325 a bottle!!! A big diffrence from R105. This bottle for R325 can be bought at the wine estate or a bottle store for R65. I do think we should have been told that the wine is similar but there is a huge price difference. When complaining we were told that we should have asked the price before ordering Needless to say we have never returned.

I celebrated my birthday in April by having lunch at the Azure Restaurant. We sat outside and had magnificent views. The service was excellent as was the food. I would highly recommend Azure. Next on my list is dinner and DVD evening.
