My husband and I decided to visit Jonkershuis for coffee and cake yesterday afternoon. Although they didnt have a large selection of cakes, the flourless chocolate brownies with vanilla ice-cream (little black vanilla seeds evident in the icecream) and sour strawberries were out of this world! A really wonderful taste combination. Our waiter was a bit slow, however this could have been due to the restaurant being very full. The smells coming out of the kitchen were captivating, making us decide that we definitely had to return for supper next time. All round it was a great experience and I will definitely return.

this was my second visit after a disasterous first. Made to wait outside on a cold winter evening as our table was not ready, a pushy badly trained waitress and indifferent food, we were the guests of overseas relatives and it was embarrasing. I was phoned by the restaurant with an apology which I appreciated. I may go back but not until I have given them enough time to put their house in order. Beautiful setting, lovely restaurant but come on guys, get it right.

Very disappointing. Indifferent to poor service, canteen food, dreadful paper overlays on top of linen tablecloths. Used to offer excellent food, service and ambience, but is now clearly just a tourist trap. The estate managers should get some real restaurateurs in to start doing this historic estate proud.

Not the first time but the fourth bad experience at this restaurant, the menu is old and so is the food, I ordered a burger with a pepper sauce, I could not with force cut through the burger it was rock hard, the pepper sauce was bland and had no flavour. My partner ordered the veal sausage and brockwurst and the veal sausage smelt dicey and tasted of pork. What a pity, such a nice venue and lovely views. We won't be back.

Lovely spot for breakfast under the trees at Groot Constantia - delicious eggs Benedict, and lots of room for the kids to run around. We'll be back.

Sinn's Restaurant "There is something so simply indulgent about Risotto. Yes, health nuts would slate it for it's cheesy, creamy ladenness, but personally, that's all the more reason to revere it (and then pop off to the gym the next day). The Rocket Risotto and Silver Fish I had last night at Sinns, was incredible! The texture of the firm, crisp-skinned fish, paired with the dreamy sanctity of the Risotto, punctuated with beetroot chips and served out in the airy sophistication of Wembly Square- Bellissimo! ..."
