An absolute pleasurable experience - went for a birthday lunch - there were 10 of us mostly from overseas and extremely critical foodies, and all of us agreed that the food was delicious!! some went for the winter special and others for the Ala Carte - my favourite was the Quail and laungoustine starter followed by the Springbok!!! AMAZING!! the service was also excellent xxxx

A gastronomic experience! Very decadent menu with unique dishes. The winter menu is good value (for La Colombe) at R250 a head including a carafe of wine, and you can choose 2 starters and a main if you want. This is quite a task though as most of the dishes are extremely rich. Chef special: Confit of Pork belly - to die for. It literally melts in your mouth - i stupidly had quail and beef tartare before this and nearly died of over-indulgence. Couldn't stop at the time though! Really, all good. Risotto was 'faultless' and that is coming from a hard-core foodie at our table. My only gripe is that they push the mineral water down your throat - the water coming out of the fancy bathroom taps is just as good! Nice surprise at the end with beautiful hand made truffles and turkish delights. (I think those sealed the deal) Highly recommended for a splash-out.

Together with Rust en Vrede right at the top. After Franck Dangereux left, he managed to improve on a hard act to follow. Even spoilt overseas visitors give it Michelin rating. Well worth a visit for lovers of fine food and from an English Chef Nog al.

Sinn's Restaurant "There is something so simply indulgent about Risotto. Yes, health nuts would slate it for it's cheesy, creamy ladenness, but personally, that's all the more reason to revere it (and then pop off to the gym the next day). The Rocket Risotto and Silver Fish I had last night at Sinns, was incredible! The texture of the firm, crisp-skinned fish, paired with the dreamy sanctity of the Risotto, punctuated with beetroot chips and served out in the airy sophistication of Wembly Square- Bellissimo! ..."
