Alida Ryder or 'Simply Delicious' as she is known around the office is an inspiration for us all.
This competition closed on 31 October 2012 at 05:00:00 PM
She started her blog Simply Delicious here on the food24 blog platform 3 years ago and has simply flourished.
Her hard work, dedication and thirst for knowledge combined with a raw and unique talent, has made her into the accomplished cook that she is today. We're proud to feature her first cookbook Simple & Delicious.
It is an accessible book that one could use daily with down-to-earth recipes for family and friends.
Here is a taste-peek into the book:
Bollywood lamb chops - an fragrant and interesting way with your chops.
The ultimate steak sandwich - simply... delicious!
A personal note from Ally:
'When I first started my blog on
Food24 I had no idea I would be sitting here almost 3 years later. A published
author, food writer, stylist, photographer and award winning blogger.
I have to
sometimes pinch myself to see if I'm not dreaming. Through the guidance of the
incredible editors at Food24 I grew my blog and realised that what I thought
was only a passion, was more like a calling.
I worked at bettering my writing
style, photography and styling (and still do). I eventually moved over to my
own blog space and a whole new world opened in front of me.
If I look back at
my first posts I am both horrified and ecstatic because there is so much proof
of how far I've come. I will always be incredibly grateful to my Food24 family,
especially Caro. It all started here and knowing what I know now, the sky,
truly is the limit!'
Published by Penguin Books RRP R190. Available at all good book stores.
